How is global climate change manifesting itself

Global warming, or more accurately what is called global climate change, is something that has been discussed for decades. And while many people doubt that it is happening, studies and data clearly show it is. We may not want to admit it, but we are already feeling its effects and it is only getting worse. Therefore, it is good to know what to expect and how it will affect our lives.

The former, of course, is the rise in average temperatures. We are witnessing this, but it is more pronounced in the southern states. For example, look at what the temperature is today in Greece and Italy. You might be surprised to see temperatures in the upper 50s. But this was something we had never encountered before. Of course, summer temperatures here are also much higher than before.

One thing we notice in our area, however, is that spring and fall are slowly disappearing. These transitional seasons are slowly being lost and we are essentially jumping from summer to winter and vice versa. Of course, this is not good for nature or for us. Unfortunately, however, this trend seems to be getting worse.

And then there is rainfall distribution. This has become a global problem: essentially, most of the rainfall falls in the winter months, with a minimum in the summer months. This not only causes various disasters such as fires and water shortages, but above all is practically destructive for farmers. Certainly the situation in our country is not that bad yet, but it is only a matter of time before it does. [There is no denying that there are problems and that they need to be addressed. Ideally, action should be taken on an international, preferably global, level. But given the tensions between some nations, not to mention the priorities of vested interests, it is unfortunately unlikely that such a thing will happen before it is too late. And that is unfortunate, because it is unlikely that the situation can be saved at that point.
