Why is society so divided today

The Internet is a rather strange place. This is because it offers at least partial anonymity, which people often take advantage of. They are not afraid to express their true opinions, no matter how extreme they may be. And nowhere is this more evident than in the various discussions and comments on social media. One only needs to read a few to see that our society is inherently divided.

Whatever the issue, whatever the cause, people almost always divide into two camps. And it is no coincidence that the same group of people almost always vote for the same camp. Of course, that is not a good thing. If we stay together, we have a much better chance of solving our problems. But it turns out that we probably don\’t have that ability.

společnost by dnes měla být spojená

Indeed, this is nothing new, nor is it unique to the Czech Republic. It is even typical of the majority of human societies. And it is clear that this is no accident. But it turns out that our innate nature is only partly to blame.Indeed, this mentality helped our ancestors to survive, as it led to a natural distrust of other tribes and helped them to avoid surprise attacks, for example. Today, however, times are different and this approach is proving to be outdated. But that does not mean it cannot be fed.

dnes jsme rozdělení

Indeed, this division is widely supported by many politicians across the political spectrum. This is because they can increasingly demoralize voters and keep them voting for the same party. Moreover, the more radical they are, the more likely they are to vote, and the more votes they can get. That is what they want more than anything else. Despite what they claim in their election campaigns, they certainly do not put people first.

What can we do to prevent this from happening? Frankly, not much. Perhaps the only thing we can do is to strive to seek unbiased information. But there is nothing else we can do.
